RCSN friends Parents for Inclusive Education (PIE) have launched a new blog to facilitate online conversation between parents, educators, and advocates to work together to make inclusion of children with disabilities a more viable option in New York City's schools.
Jaclyn Okin of New York Lawyers for the Public Interest writes:
In addition to using the blog as a way to announce PIE meetings and activities, my hope is that we can use the blog mainly as a way to communicate and share information. Please share your experiences and spend some time reading the thoughts of fellow parents. Just remember, do not use anyone's name or identifying information.
If you have suggestions for blog discussion topics, please let me know. Also, you will see we have a resource page on the blog and I welcome suggestions of resources that should be added – the page will continue to be a work in progress.
